These are some before-and-after examples of my photo editing and retouching work – all photographs taken by me.
One of my first jobs out of college was working for a print shop as a photo retoucher. I would take the image files from the drum scanner operator and go through each image at 400%, from top to bottom, examining every screen for any small hairs, dust, or other blemishes on the image.
As a seasoned photographer and creative professional, I’ve developed an eye for good lighting and composition, and a talent for crafting meaningful visuals. A critical part of my creative process for doing that is in editing. So much of visual messaging is in the styling – tone, color, and creative direction – and so much of that styling happens in post.
