Project Summary:
Back in my freelance days, I did some work for Lindsay Hearts, the founder and head designer for Foxblood. Along with these ad designs, I worked on some early versions of her website as well.
I also did some spec ads for some alt fashion brands I wanted to work with. It was a great creative exercise, and I’m still proud of these designs.
This is a design walk-through I created to show the process of creating these alt fashion ads.
My background in motion design.
I’ve been doing animation and motion design work since Adobe Flash was popular. I worked in that program for well over a decade, creating everything from animated banner ads to complete websites, all built in Flash.
Later, once Adobe Photoshop introduced simple animation functionality, I started making animated banners and GIFs. Not long after that, Adobe launched Animate, which is a pretty good program for basic animation work.
I’ve also spent some time creating learning courses with PowerPoint and Adobe Captivate. Presentation design apps like PowerPoint and Keynote can be great tools for creating simple yet elegant animations and motion design projects.
